Getting started
First steps if this is your first time managing household bills.
What is Taupia?
Taupia helps you read bills, track contract end dates, and compare better options across energy, broadband, and mobile.
Quick start route: /compare-energy-prices.
If you are setting up bills at a new address: /move-home.
What bills can I manage?
You can manage energy, broadband, and mobile in one place.
If this is your first setup, use /move-home first, then follow /move-home/move-in-bills-checklist.
Is there a fee for using Taupia's service?
No. Taupia is currently free to use.
When a switch completes, Taupia may receive provider commission, but tariff pricing remains the same as going direct.
Is Taupia a registered company?
Moley AI Limited (trading as Taupia) was incorporated in England and Wales on 18 August 2025 under company number 16655420.
How do I delete my Taupia account?
To request account deletion, email hello@taupia.com from the email address linked to your Taupia account and state that you want your account deleted.
Our team will verify the request and process deletion in line with our privacy policy and legal retention obligations.
Switching process
How comparison and switching work when contracts end or renewal emails arrive.
How does Taupia find better deals?
Taupia reads your current bill details, contract timing, and pricing structure, then compares suitable alternatives.
Energy start route: /compare-energy-prices.
Fast overpaying check: /compare-energy-prices/am-i-overpaying.
Renewal notice guide: /compare-energy-prices/energy-renewal-email-10-minute-action-plan.
Do I need to contact my current provider?
No. If you choose to switch through Taupia, the new provider manages the transfer process, including notifying your existing provider where required. You can review and approve the switch inside the app without separate calls or paperwork.
How long does switching take?
Switching times vary by service.
Energy: usually around 5 working days, with a common 14-day cooling-off period.
Broadband: often around 10 to 14 working days depending on setup.
Mobile: often within 1 working day after transfer confirmation.
Taupia tracks key dates throughout.
Will switching affect my service?
In most cases, no.
Energy supply continues as normal throughout the switch.
Broadband usually stays active until the new provider takes over, though a brief interruption can happen on the switch day.
Mobile number transfers can involve a short interruption while the port completes.
Taupia tracks key dates so you know what to expect.
Do I have to switch?
No. Switching is always optional. Taupia helps you understand and monitor your bills first. If a better option appears, you can review it and decide whether to switch.
I received a contract ending or renewal email. What should I do first?
Start with /compare-energy-prices/energy-renewal-email-10-minute-action-plan.
Then run /compare-energy-prices/am-i-overpaying before accepting any renewal offer.

/move-home/split-bills-with-housemates

Monitoring and after switching
What happens after setup and how to stay ahead of future renewals.
How does monitoring work?
After you upload a bill, Taupia tracks contract end dates, pricing changes, and better offer windows.
When action is worth taking, you get a prompt instead of manually rechecking the market.
Does monitoring continue after switching?
Yes. After a switch through Taupia, monitoring continues automatically. Taupia tracks your new contract, renewal date, and monthly costs so you stay protected over time.
What if a bill suddenly jumps before I know the cause?
Use /learn-more/bill-shock-triage to diagnose the cause first.
If the issue is contract drift or renewal pricing, follow with /compare-energy-prices/am-i-overpaying.
